About this work
Large tangent guilloche roundels with pearl guard borders, joined by small, overlaid pearl roundels, each with central rosette, with elaborate four-lobed rosettes in the interstices. Each large roundel contains an elephant with decorative trappings and a symmetrical floral form above. In golden yellow, greenish yellow, white, dark brown and crimson, on crimson ground.
