About this work

A pastoral scene, with a woman in a yellow, pink and ivory striped dress, a man with a dog advancing toward two stags, sheep and lambs in the foreground, and birds active in the sky. In the background, trees and a house with smoke rising from the chimney. On each side, a sinuous floral vine. Embroidery covers the entire surface.
