About this work

Small embroidered sampler with a grid composition of three by five squares, each with a different geometric pattern including diamonds, stripes and zigzags; worked in shades of black, brown, grey, light blue, light green, yellow, salmon-pink, and ivory. Bound on all four edges with ivory silk ribbon, with a bow at each corner.
