About this work
The lion-headed goddess Sekhmet strides forward wearing a long, tight-fitting dress and striated wig indicating her divine nature. Behind her is an obelisk that is hollow and originally open at the bottom. Her left hand would have held an attribute such as a staff, which is now lost.
