About this work

This scabbard is made from two hardwood pieces, fitted together to hold a barong’s leaf-shaped blade. The rounded tip is minimally ornamented, without the okir scrolls or carved volutes applied to prestige examples. A fiber cord binding secures the upper section and reinforces the join.
