About this work

Statuette: the Bodhisattva Avalokitesvara with eleven heads (Ekadasamukha; Juichi-men Kwannon). Figure hollow; head and arms solid. "Hi-no-ki" wood. Remains of gesso coating and traces of color. Glass eyes and urna inset.
