About this work
Remains of a wall painting cycle depicting the Passion of Christ from the former Ulrichskirche (demolished 1886/87) on Rittergasse, in immediate vicinity of the Münster. Only the north wall of the northern side aisle, to which the "Red Schoolhouse" was attached in the 1850s, remained standing. Here, on the outer wall, were the remains of the wall paintings, which were removed in 1931. The cycle once comprised 24 scenes, distributed across two registers.
