About this work
A variant of "Le Lapin Agile," dated October 15, 1911, Pola Museum of Art, Kanagawa (Japan), Fabris/Paillier no. 5. In our image, "Lapin Agile" is not written on the house wall; individual details such as a brown spot above the window on the right or the face drawn into the stucco above the door on the right distinguish the versions. François Daulte described this painting in the Exhibition Catalogue Lausanne 1994, p. 178, as one of the "most sensitive versions" of the motif.
