About this work
This picture belongs to a small series of four main versions and some studies under the title "Impfung", which Meyer-Amden first mentioned in a letter to his brother Paul Meyer in 1919. The vaccination pictures are in turn part of the school pictures so named by Meyer-Amden (other series: "Morgenandacht im Esssaal" resp. "Vorbereitung", "Eintritt ins Klassenzimmer", "Händehochhaltende").
