About this work
Max Geldner acquired the panel as a work by Aelbert Cuyp. An obviously later-added signature of the painter was removed after technical investigations. Hendrick de Meyer, whose works are clearly influenced by Cuyp's river landscapes and his light painting adopted from the Italianizers, was first proposed in 1958 by B.
