Bei dem Gegenstück zu Inv. Nr. 1280 handelt es sich um ein fast genaues Spiegelbild; selbst die Signatur ist spiegelbildlich angebracht. Das Œuvre des in Wien geborenen Franz de Paula Ferg umfasst viele Gemäldepaare, die wie hier zumeist kleinformatig und auf Kupfer gemalt sind.
