About this work
Getreue, um ca. ein Drittel vergrösserte, Kopie nach Albrecht Dürers um 1502/03 datiertem Holzschnitt aus dem Marienleben (B. 85). Der Maler orientiert sich nicht nur hinsichtlich der Komposition bis in kleinste Details, wie die Faltenwürfe, an der Vorlage, sondern schliesst sich auch stilistisch eng an Dürer an.
