About this work
Copy after the interior side of Konrad Witz's panel from the Salvation Mirror Altarpiece in the Musée des Beaux-Arts in Dijon (Inv. D 161A). The brocade pattern in the background, worn down and modernly re-gilded on the original, was reconstructed by the copyist according to the repeat on the originally placed panel above, Inv. 643, with Esther before Ahasuerus.
