About this work
Petrus Victorius, Piero Vittorio, war ein italienischer Humanist und Philosoph. Als Professor der griechischen und lateinischen Sprache hatte er einen Lehrstuhl für klassische Studien in Florenz inne. 1553–1569 veröffentlichte er 54 Bände seiner "Variae lectiones".
