About this work
Neben der bisherigen Zuschreibung an Pierino Buonaccorsi (Perino del Vaga), die wohl nicht haltbar ist, wurden weitere Zuschreibungsvorschläge gemacht: an Giovanni Agostino da Lodi (Fritz Heinemann), Marcello Fogolino (Lionello Puppi) und Martino Piazza (Giorgio Fossaluzza). Von Martino Piazza gibt es nur wenige eigenhändige Werke. Zwei frühe sind mit MPP (Martinus Platea pinxit) monogrammiert.
