About this work
Numa Donzé war 1908 und 1909 in Paris und fuhr von dort zwei Mal in die Provence. Vermutlich stammt das Bild aus jener Zeit und nicht aus den Jahren nach 1930, in denen Donzé wiederum die Provence bereiste. 1936 wurde das Gemälde angekauft.
