About this work
The traditional localization of the Basel Diptych, which was regarded as a work of the "Bohemian School," must recently be revised. Jörg Oberhaidacher convincingly attributes it to a painter active in Vienna, who was strongly influenced by Western, particularly Parisian, painting (Oberhaidacher 2012).
