Subcontracting (Wilbarger and Sons). These are special jigs and chucks designed and made at Wilbarger and Sons Shop, Harrisonburg, Virginia, for special war production jobs. The workers in many thousands of little shops such as this are using all their ingenuity to do what they can to speed the job
Conversion. Merry-go-round plant. This is a South Bend swing lathe used formerly in the manufacture of merry-go-rounds. This machine, along with others in this New York state plant is now turning out bits and pieces for our war program. The worker is machinist Fred Luther, whose skill was formerly u
