About this work
In the Spacecraft Assembly and Encapsulation Facility -2, workers attach an overhead crane to the solar array on the 2001 Mars Odyssey Orbiter to move the component to a workstand. This will give workers access to other components of the spacecraft and allow inspection of the array. The Mars Odyssey carries three science instruments: the Thermal Emission Imaging System (THEMIS), the Gamma Ray Spectrometer (GRS), and the Mars Radiation Environment Experiment (MARIE).
