About this work
Workers at Launch Complex 17-A, Cape Canaveral Air Force Station, watch as a piece of the Delta rocket fairing is moved into place around the Mars Odyssey spacecraft. NASA’s latest explorer carries three scientific instruments to map the chemical and mineralogical makeup of Mars: a thermal-emission imaging system, a gamma ray spectrometer and a Martian radiation environment experiment.
