Kennedy Space Center, Fla. — At Launch Pad 17-B, Cape Canaveral Air Force Station, the first in the third set of Solid Rocket Boosters (SRBs) for the Boeing Delta II rocket launch of Deep Impact is being lifted into the mobile service tower. The set of three will be mated to the Delta II (in the background), joining six others for a complement of nine. Launch is scheduled for no earlier than January 8, 2005.
