About this work

Kennedy Space Center, Fla. — At Launch Pad 17-B, Cape Canaveral Air Force Station, the second in the third set of Solid Rocket Boosters (SRBs) for the Boeing Delta II rocket launch of Deep Impact is raised off its transporter. It will be lifted up into the mobile service tower and mated to the Delta II, joining others for a complement of nine. Launch is scheduled for no earlier than January 8, 2005.
