Kennedy Space Center, Fla. — Prior to a simulated launch countdown_emergency simulation on Launch Pad 39A, the media photograph and interview astronaut Alan G. Poindexter. Pad team members participated in the four-hour exercise simulating normal launch countdown operations, with the added challenge of a fictitious event causing an evacuation of the vehicle and launch pad.
