Kennedy Space Center, Fla. — Technicians in the Space Station Processing Facility check the placement of the Thermal Protection System Detailed Test Objective (DTO) box on the Lightweight Multi-Purpose Experiment Support Structure Carrier (LMC). The LMC and DTO will fly on Space Shuttle Discovery for mission STS-114. The DTO contains tile samples that will enable astronauts to test new on-orbit Thermal Protection System repair techniques.
