About this work
Kennedy Space Center, Fla. — The second redesigned External Tank (ET-121) dwarfs the workers accompanying it on its way to the Vehicle Assembly Building. The tank recently arrived at the Turn Basin aboard the barge in the background after its 900-mile journey at sea from the Michoud Assembly Facility in New Orleans. In addition to the Return to Flight modifications, this tank has been outfitted with temperature sensors and accelerometers, used to measure vibration.
