Vandenberg Air Force Base, Calif. — At Vandenberg Air Force Base in California, the National Oceanic and Atmospheric Administration (NOAA-N) spacecraft is offloaded from a C-17 aircraft. It will be taken to a hangar for preflight processing. The NOAA-N satellite will be placed into a polar orbit aboard a Boeing Delta 2 rocket.
