Vandenberg Air Force Base, Calif. — Inside the NASA spacecraft processing hangar 1610 located on North Vandenberg Air Force Base in California, Lockheed Martin workers place a protective cover around the National Oceanic and Atmospheric Administration (NOAA-N) spacecraft. Mechanical and electrical ground support equipment will be set up and the necessary connections made with the spacecraft. Launch of NOAA-N aboard the Boeing Delta II rocket is currently scheduled for May 11, 2005.
