Kennedy Space Center, Fla. — Workers in the Space Station Processing Facility prepare to close the hatch for flight on Italian-built Multi-Purpose Logistics Module Raffaello, a significant milestone on the road to Return to Flight. The module will travel to the International Space Station aboard Space Shuttle Discovery’s Return to Flight mission STS-114. Raffaello carries 12 racks of cargo, including food, clothing, spare parts and research equipment, to the Station.
