Kennedy Space Center, Fla. — At the Astrotech Payload Processing Facility on Vandenberg Air Force Base in California, an overhead crane is attached to the CloudSat spacecraft to lift it out of its shipping container. CloudSat was shipped from Ball Aerospace and Technologies Corp. in Boulder, Colo. The spacecraft will undergo electrical and spacecraft transmitter testing.
