About this work

Kennedy Space Center, Fla. — At Astrotech Space Operations in Titusville, Fla., the encapsulated GOES-N spacecraft waits on a transporter to roll to Launch Complex 37 at Cape Canaveral Air Force Station. There it will be mated to the Boeing Delta IV launch vehicle. The encapsulation protects the spacecraft during liftoff. Geostationary Operational Environmental Satellites (GOES) are sponsored by NASA’s Goddard Space Flight Center and the National Oceanic and Atmospheric Administration.
