Kennedy Space Center, Fla. — In the Payload Hazardous Servicing Facility, workers from Lockheed Martin prepare the Mars Reconnaissance Orbiter (MRO) to be lifted from the rotation stand. It is being transferred to a Mars Orbit Insertion Thruster assembly stand for testing. In late July, the MRO will be transported to the Vertical Installation Facility. It will join the Atlas V for the final phase of launch preparations.
