Kennedy Space Center, Fla. — The Mars Reconnaissance Orbiter (MRO) atop its Atlas V launch vehicle (right) and launch gantry roll out on the mobile launch platform to the launch pad from the Vertical Integration Facility at Cape Canaveral Air Force Station in Florida. The launch window is from 7:50 a.m. to 9:35 a.m. EDT. The spacecraft will arrive at Mars in March 2006 .
