Vandenberg Air Force Base, Calif. — One of four Solid Rocket Boosters for the CALIPSO_CloudSat launch is raised off the transporter to a vertical position. It will be lifted into the mobile service tower, or gantry, and attached to the Boeing Delta II rocket. CALIPSO stands for Cloud-Aerosol Lidar and Infrared Pathfinder Satellite Observation.
