About this work
CAPE CANAVERAL, Fla. - At Launch Pad 39A at NASA's Kennedy Space Center in Florida, a United Space Alliance worker rolls the pad's rotating service structure away from space shuttle Discovery using controls in the cab at the base of the structure. Retraction of the structure, which provides weather protection and access to the shuttle, was complete by 10 a.m. EDT and is a significant countdown milestone. Liftoff of the STS-131 mission is set for 6:21 a.m. EDT on April 5.
