VANDENBERG AIR FORCE BASE, Calif. – A speaker talks with a group of Tweetup participants at Vandenberg Air Force Base in California during prelaunch activities for NASA’s National Polar-orbiting Operational Environmental Satellite System Preparatory Project (NPP) spacecraft mission. The tweeters will share their experiences with followers through the social networking site Twitter. NPP represents a critical first step in building the next-generation of Earth-observing satellites.
