CAPE CANAVERAL, Fla. – Inside Orbiter Processing Facility-1 at NASA’s Kennedy Space Center in Florida, the right orbital maneuvering system (OMS) pod is installed on space shuttle Discovery. The OMS pods were returned from White Sands Space Harbor in New Mexico where they underwent a complete deservicing and cleaning. The work is part of the Space Shuttle Program’s transition and retirement processing of shuttle Discovery.
