Kennedy Space Center, Fla. — This eagle's eye view of STS-1 shows the space vehicle for the first Space Shuttle mission shortly after it was moved out of the Vehicle Assembly Builidng at 8 a.m. today for the 3.5-mile journey to Complex 39's Pad A. The Shuttle rests atop the Mobile Launcher Platform from which launch is scheduled no earlier than March 1981.
