The payload bay was closed for flight at 6:24 a.m. Sunday, April 8. The STS-31 launch is scheduled for 8:47 a.m. Tuesday, April 10. With HST, astronomers will be able to view 97 percent of the known universe, and will be able to get pictures unlimited and undistorted by the Earth's atmosphere.
