About this work
Range : 4 million km. ( 2.5 million miles ) P-34654 This Voyager 2 image of Neptune's satteltite Triton was made by combining images taken through the green, clear, and violet filters. The smallest feature seen are about 74 km, or 46 miles accross. The south pole of Triton is currently tipped toward the sun and it is summer in the southern hemisphere. The south pole is located about a quarter of the way up from the bottom if the image.
