About this work
Kennedy Space Center, Fla. — A newly arrived external tank heads from the turn basin toward the Vehicle Assembly Building (VAB), seen behind the tank. External tanks are built by the NASA Michoud Assembly Facility in New Orleans and transported by barge to Cape Canaveral and then up the Banana River to the turn basin in the Launch Complex 39 Area.
