KENNEDY SPACE CENTER, Fla. -- At Launch Pad 39B, STS-106 Mission Specialists Yuri I. Malenchenko, Daniel C. Burbank and Boris V. Morukov speedily head for the slidewire baskets that are used for emergency egress from the orbiter. The three are taking part in Terminal Countdown Demonstration Activities (TCDT), along with the rest of the STS-106 crew. The TCDT also provides the crew with opportunities to inspect their mission payload in the orbiter’s payload bay, and a simulated launch countdown.
