About this work

Workers in the Space Station Processing Facility watch closely as Solar Array Wing-3, a component of the International Space Station, is lowered toward the Integrated Electronic Assembly where it will be installed for testing. The solar array is scheduled to be launched on STS-97 in late November along with the P6 truss. The Station’s electrical power system (EPS) will use eight photovoltaic solar arrays to convert sunlight to electricity.
