KENNEDY SPACE CENTER, Fla. -- Viewed from inside the Vehicle Assembly Building, Space Shuttle Discovery, atop the mobile launcher platform (MLP), begins its rollout to Launch Pad 39A before dawn. Beneath the Space Shuttle and MLP is the crawler-transporter that moves it all to the pad. Discovery is scheduled to launch Oct. 5 at 9:30 p.m. EDT on mission STS-92.
