About this work
During emergency egress practice at Launch Pad 39B, STS-97 Pilot Mike Bloomfield (left) and Commander Brent Jett (center) discuss their activities with Closeout Crew member Travis Thompson (right). The practice is part of Terminal Countdown Demonstration Test (TCDT) activities that also include a simulated launch countdown and opportunities to inspect the mission payloads in the orbiter’s payload bay. Mission STS-97is the sixth construction flight to the International Space Station.
