About this work
The STS-102 crew are instructed on the use of slidewire baskets for emergency exits from the launch pad. Listening to the instructor are, left to right, Mission Specialists Andrew Thomas and Paul Richards, Commander James Wetherbee, Mission Specialists Susan Helms, James Voss and Yury Usachev, and Pilot James Kelly. The crew is taking part in Terminal Countdown Demonstration Test activities, which include a simulated launch countdown.
