KENNEDY SPACE CENTER, Fla. -- The first (booster) segment of a Lockheed Martin Atlas II rocket sits in the launch tower at Pad 36-A, Cape Canaveral Air Force Station, in preparation for mating with the other stages that will launch the Tracking and Data Relay Satellite, known as TDRS-I, in January 2002.
