Kennedy Space Center, Fla. — The Hitchhiker Bridge with GetAway Special canisters (GAS cans) is placed into the payload canister. The bridge, a carrier for the Fast Reaction Experiments Enabling Science, Technology, Applications and Research (FREESTAR) that incorporates eight high priority secondary attached shuttle experiments, is being transferred to the payload canister below it. The bridge will be installed in Columbia's payload bay as part of mission STS-107.
