Kennedy Space Center, Fla. — In the Orbiter Processing Facility, the SHI Research Double Module (SHI/RDM) and Hitchhiker Carrier behind it are suspended by an overhead crane during their move to Columbia's payload bay. SHI/RDM is the primary payload of the STS-107 research mission, with experiments ranging from material sciences to life sciences (many rats).
