Kennedy Space Center, Fla. — The Payload Hazardous Servicing Facility at KSC is open to receive the Mars Exploration Rovers Mission elements: cruise stage, aeroshell and lander for MER-2. Set to launch in 2003, the Mars Exploration Rover Mission will consist of two identical rovers designed to cover roughly 110 yards (100 meters) each Martian day.
