Kennedy Space Center, Fla. — Members of the Columbia Accident Investigation Board look intently at some equipment in the Orbiter Processing Facility. In the center is Retired Navy Adm. Harold Gehman Jr., who is chairman of the board. The board is visiting sites at KSC to become familiar with the Shuttle launch process and elements. The independent board is charged with determining what caused the destruction of the Space Shuttle Columbia and the loss of its seven-member crew on Feb.
